Ohio Redistricting
Fixing Ohio's districting to fairly reflect Ohio voters is at issue this year. Ohio has voted to fix this twice before, but the current GOP-led Senate and House have refused to draw fair maps, even after the Ohio Supreme Court told them to redraw the maps -- multiple times. Why? Because the prior amendments failed to have any consequences if the will of the Ohio people was not followed.
Thus, once again, the people of Ohio must remind our elected officials that they are there to serve us, not dictate to us.
Ohioans collected 731,000+ signatures to put this Fair Districting Amendment on the November 2024 ballet (only 413,487 signatures were required).
The GOP-led Legislative has already tried to prevent the will of the Ohio people by "approving" very misleading text for the proposed amendment to be printed on the voting ballot -- courtesy of Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and the Ohio Ballot Board.
Don't be fooled or mislead. When a government willfully tries to mislead its voters, then it's time for them to be replaced with elected officials that respect and honor the will of the people.

The goal of Issue 1 is to end gerrymandering. Gerrymandering is the intentional and willful manipulation of defined boundary lines so as to favor one political party over others.
